The mission of Texas School for the Deaf Foundation is to help deaf and hard of hearing students at the Texas School for the Deaf and across Texas achieve personal excellence in an environment where they can learn, grow and belong.

The Texas School for the Deaf Foundation funds and supports the activities for Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) whose mission is to ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students achieve personal excellence in an environment where they can learn, grow and belong.
Our vision is to support the Texas School for the Deaf as a national leader and innovator in deaf education.
We are a dynamic group of men and women who believe that all children have the right to a quality education and that each child can maximize his or her potential if provided with the appropriate tools to succeed.
We are businesspeople, high tech executives, lawyers, financial service professionals, web developers, teachers, parents, grandparents, and concerned citizens of the State of Texas.
We are people willing to roll up our sleeves and work toward equal access to language, literacy and education for deaf children so that each feels he can learn, grow and belong to a school and community.
Relationship with Texas School For The Deaf
The Texas School for the Deaf Foundation funds and supports the many activities for Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) that are not covered by legislative appropriation. TSD’s mission is to ensure that deaf and hard of hearing students achieve personal excellence in an environment where they can learn, grow and belong.
A few of the many programs funded by the Foundation include:
- Scholarships for inner city students who cannot afford to attend Summer Educational Programs at TSD
- Technology the school cannot afford to purchase
- Curriculum tools, special student trips, athletic equipment, scholarships for graduating seniors attending college and so much more
