Web_JKennedy-editedThere will be a book signing on Saturday, February 18th at a locally deaf owned restaurant as a fundraiser for the Texas School for the Deaf. That is not the real story. The story is the background of the book itself. The book is written by a TSD parent (me) regarding the journey of a family with a child with Special Needs. It chronicles the journey from a baby born 3 months pre mature, who is deaf and has cerebral palsy, yet is still able to attend a regular academic program, is able to participate in extra curricular activities, and is able to maintain a high B average and is preparing to attend college after graduating in 2018. Very inspirational story that not only highlights the family but the work that TSD is known for. Might want to interview the superintendent of TSD who knows the family as well as State Senator Watson who is familiar with the work of TSD. I even recently testified before the Texas State Senate Finance committee in support of TSD (footage is available). Additional information the event can be found at
