Volunteer Opportunities

The Texas School for the Deaf Foundation is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to help enhance the educational opportunities of the children served by Texas School for the Deaf. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities, including Special Event Planning, ASL Interpreting, and Office Assistance, including raising awareness:

Special Event Planning: volunteer planning committees begin working several months in advance of each event

  • Spooky Skedaddle (October) — Halloween Festival, Car show and 1K Fun Run
  • Amplify Austin (March) — city-wide, online fundraising campaign
  • Diamond Gala (May) — our premier fundraising event of the year

ASL Interpreters: facilitate communication

  • meetings
  • planning sessions
  • special events

Office Assistance: assistance with day-to-day tasks that support our fundraising initiatives

  • administrative work
  • computer input
  • mailings
  • posting flyers
  • etc.

Won’t you join us?!  Whatever your interests, we will do our best to find a volunteer opportunity that’s right for you. We are happy to give community service hours for all volunteers. To get started, just fill out the form below.

We look forward to working with you!
