The ability of deaf students to learn and comprehend concepts is greatly enhanced by interactive learning tools that provide visual,  auditory, and tactile access to media-rich content, such as:

• iPads
• FM Systems
• Interactive (Smart) white boards
• vibro-tactile aids
• LED projectors
• other assistive technologies

TSDF provides funds for these interactive technologies because they provide hands-on, creative options that engage, immerse and empower students to navigate their own learning and enhance their literacy skills in American Sign Language, English and/or Spanish, as well as their comprehension in all subjects, such as math, geography, history, etc., while also helping to bridge communication between hearing and deaf populations.
