Texas School for the Deaf Foundation is participating in the 2019 Amplify Austin 24 hours of giving, this campaign gives YOU the opportunity to donate to a cause you are passionate about ~ education of the deaf children of Texas.

Mission Statement

The Texas School for the Deaf Foundation’s mission is to strengthen and sustain language, academic achievement and career pathways for deaf students at the Texas School for the Deaf (TSD) and across Texas by enhancing educational opportunities in five key funding areas:

• Literacy: Learning starts with LITERACY so Language For All is our number one priority
• Outreach: Through our outreach we offer services such as pediatric hearing tests (ages 0–4), as well as provide support to families of deaf and hard of hearing children
• Career and Technical Education (CTE): We support the CTE program at TSD so students learn skills relevant to current workforce trends such as automotive technology, digital media as well as college readiness
• Technology: We support technology in the classroom as it can greatly enhance the ability of deaf students to learn and comprehend concepts through interactive learning
• STEM: We encourage career opportunities in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math by supporting STEM initiatives in the classroom, such as robotics and access to 3-D printing

The Texas School for the Deaf Foundation works to ensure that Deaf and Hard of Hearing children learn, grow and belong so they can move toward their goals with confidence!
