The TSD Foundation held its 3rd Annual Spooky Skedaddle 5K / 1K Fun Run and Halloween Festival on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
We express our sincere thanks to our two underwriters — All About Luv N Care and CSD — who, along with many other sponsors, donated generously to TSDF and helped make it a great afternoon of fun, food, and festivities for all!
Approximately 100 dedicated runners participated in the 5K-timed run, including around twenty-five TSD student athletes. The 1K Fun Run was a big hit for the forty costumed kids that jogged, skipped, and ran around the TSD track.
Over 600 festival guests enjoyed the forty booths of games and entertaining carnival activities. Many had their faces painted, hair streaked, tattoos applied, and took a chance at the wide assortment of games, including the Basketball Throw, Ring Toss, Scarecrow Throw, Witches Cauldron Bean Bag Toss, Gourd Bowling, and Mini Golf! The TSD student organizations brought lots of enjoyment with their Sand Box, Bite the Donut, Coin Toss, Football Throw, and, of course, the always popular Haunted House. The TSD PTSO provided Balloon Darts, Popcorn sales, and Halloween Punch! The Deaf Women of Texas offered Halloween Arts-and-Crafts, while Michael Barker Photography hosted a Halloween Photo Booth.
Food Trucks provided a wide assortment of delicious treats for the Spooky Skedaddle guests, including Mozzeria Pizza, MW Smokers BBQ, Viejo Pueblo Tacos, and Princess and Moose’s Sisters Bakery Desserts.
Thanks to all of our guests, volunteers, and generous Spooky Skedaddle sponsors! Together you made the day a huge hit and allowed TSDF to further support TSD in their mission to give every child a chance to learn, grow, and belong!
